I delivered an expert talk in the one week STC program on “Pattern Recognition and Cyber Security Applications” organized by the Department of Computer Engineering, National Institute of Technology (NIT), Kurukshetra on September 6, 2019. The title of my talk was “Multi-modal Emotion Recognition among Individuals with Intellectual Disability” where I highlighted how physiological signals such as electro-dermal activity (EDA) and heart rate (HR) can be used for recognizing the emotional state of individuals with a wide range of mental health concerns. The talk witnessed an enthusiastic audience of graduate students\faculties from NITs\State Engineering Colleges, other technical institutions, and industry. I would like to thanks Dr. Ankit K. Jain for giving me an opportunity to interact with the curious minds at NIT, Kurukshetra. Dr. Ankit is also my batch-mate from IIIT-Allahabad and it was a pleasure to visit him after 6 long years.
